WEMBLEY JOY FOR NICK

The success of Oxford United in the Blue Square Conference play-off final at Wembley
was brought to tens of thousands of Oxford fans throughout the world by Nick Harris.

Commentating for BBC Radio Oxford, Nick brought listeners all the action from
Wembley, including Oxford opening two goals. The next day he travelled through the
streets of Oxford on an open top bus with the triumphant team bringing live coverage of
the historic bus ride to the listeners.

LOOKING GOOD – 2010

Just two years after celebrating their 25th birthday the future looks bright for Nick Harris Media Communications.

We will be attending all 18 rounds of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship. For the 11th year in succession Nick will commentate to millions of television world-wide from practice, qualifying and the races. Nick will also host all the major press conferences and we will look after the British media.

We will be looking after the media interests for Bradley Smith, who finished runner-up in the 2009 125 cc World Championship.

Once again we have produced the very successful MotoGP Media brochure, VIP booklet and Circuits cards for the International Road Racing Teams Association.

We have many more exciting on going projects that we will tell you all about.

Finally of course, there is the BBC Football commentary following the fortunes of Oxford United Football Club. Nick has also been hosting some of the Saturday afternoon sport programmes on BBC Radio Oxford.

Twenty seven years is a long time but the Nick Harris Media Communications success story continues into another new decade.

NICK’S VOICE OPENS AWARD WINNING VIDEO

Nick Harris’s distinctive voice opens the “A closer look at he title fight” video that won the coveted Georges Bertelloti Golden Podium prize at the Sportel Convention in Monaco last year.

A video montage featuring the intense battle between MotoGP stars Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo won the award for the best Slow Motion Sequence – Cut/Edited Shot category.

The Georges Bertellotti award was created in 1991 and is part of the Golden Podium Awards which each year showcases the best TV sports images and slow-motion sequences, with the ceremony taking place as part of the Sportel Monaco, the International Sports Convention for Television and New Media.

BRADLEY STARS ON ITV AND BBC

Just before Christmas Bradley Smith appeared on two prestigious national radio and television programmes.

On the run up to the Motorcycle Show he appeared on the Alan Titchmarsh ITV Television chat show and the Chris Evans show on BBC Radio Two.

BRADLEY AND DAWN FEATURED IN SUNDAY TIMES MAGAZINE

Bradley Smith and his mum Dawn were featured in the Sunday Times Magazine last month.

They appeared in the prestigious Relative Values feature that previously had featured Bernie Ecclestone, Harry Rednapp and Ester Rantzen

The whole process from beginning to publication was organised by Nick Harris Media Communications.

BRITISH LIBRARY HOSTS ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Over 100 guests attended the annual MotoGP Press Conference before the British Grand Prix once again organised by Nick Harris Media Communications.
This year’s venue at the British Library was packed with journalists and guests for the annual filming, photographic and interview sessions with the leading MotGP riders. MotoGP stars Jorge Lorenzo, former World Champion Nicky Hayden and James Toseland plus the all conquering British 125 cc teenagers Bradley Smith, Scott Redding and Danny Webb spent over three hours with the media before departing to Donington Park.
Once again NHMC provided the media with what they wanted and the result, especially on radio and television was unparallel coverage on the build-up to the British Grand Prix.

WHEN HARRY MET BRADLEY

Prince Harry wishes Bradley Smith good luck on the grid before the start of the 125 cc race at the British Grand Prix at Donington Park on Sunday. Nick Harris Media Communications worked closely with Bradley in the build-up and during the British Grand Prix to ensure maximum media exposure while also ensuring he was able to concentrate on practice, qualifying and racing at Donington.
We achieved superb coverage right across the media spectrum including a full page feature in the Times, interviews on BBC Radio One and Radio Five and interviews on BBC One and BBC South television.

BRADLEY’S SUCCESS CELEBRATED

Nick Harris Media Communications has spearheaded the campaign to publicise the amazing success of Bradley Smith in this year’s 125 cc MotoGP World Championship.
The 18 year old Oxfordshire rider recently won his second grand prix of the season at Mugello in Italy and we have ensured his considerable achievements have received the media coverage he deserves.
Bradley has been a guest on the the award winning Chris Evans show on BBC Radio Two, appeared on BBC South television news, ITV 4, BBC Radio Oxford while his grand prix success has been reported on BBC Radio One, The Johnny Walker Show on BBC Radio Two, BBC News Channel plus all the national newspapers.
In addition NHMC has helped Bradley write and produce his column which appears in both the national and local press. Also despatching releases, images and audio interviews from all qualifying and races at this year’s MotoGP World Championship.

NHMC – CONTINUE SOUTH AFRICAN CONNECTION

Key radio stations in both Cape Town and Johannesburg will continue taking regular reports by Nick Harris from the MotoGP events this season. Nick has built up a tremendous broadcasting reputation in South Africa over the last 15 years in both MotoGP and F1 Sporting arenas.

This year Nick will continue supplying live reports to the sports mad South Africans on stations such as Radio 567 Cape Town and 94.5 KFM and Radio 702 in Johannesburg in addition to the World feed television commentary.
