NHMC organised what was regarded as the best MotoGP pre-grand prix event of the
2010 season when they hired Lords cricket ground in London for the day.
Just four days before the AIRASIA British Grand Prix at Silverstone the MotoGP circus,
led by World Champion Jorge Lorenzo, descended on the hallowed Lords turf in London.
The media had a field day with Lorenzo and Nicky Hayden playing their first ever
game of cricket while the likes of Bradley Smith and Scott Redding sampled traditional
strawberries and cream served by AIRASIA air hostesses.
The result was superb media coverage including features on BBC television and in the Times newspaper.
Guys
Love Nick’s commentary – even the Anglo bias at times toward talents Smith and West. (why are the Latins flooding international cycle sports – like Aussies in the swimming pool)?
Suggestion: Can you get the sound engineers to ” mute” trackside sound by some level during race time crosses to fallen riders etc etc? Love it all but sometimes audience sound delivery really suffers.
Met B Sheene in Adelaide mid 80s. Legend forever.
PS What is/ was the Gatwick Pensa 🙂
